Delta Ann Albin, Council Grove

Delta Ann Albin, formerly of Wilsey died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the Council Grove Healthcare Center. She was 97.
The daughter of Richard Irving and Ella Ann Garr Bullock, she was born March 7, 1910, at Wilsey. She attended Fairview District 19, a one-room country school with all eight grades. Her family then moved to a farm east of Wilsey where she attended Wilsey grade and high schools.
She married James Russell Albin Sr., on May 15, 1930. They lived all of their married life in and around Wilsey, except for one year at Diamond Springs, two years at Neosho Rapids and two years at Saffordville. He survives.
Mrs. Albin was a member of the Wilsey Christian Church. She also was a member of the Nimble Fingers Sewing Club.
She is also survived by one daughter Darlene Joyce Grundy; three sons, Richard Lee Albin, Max Dewayne Albin and Larry Dale Albin; 18 grandchildren; and many great-and great-great-grandchildren. A son, James Russell Albin Jr., died March 15, 2007. Three sisters, Amy Dacy, Lila Bullock and Florence Bruckner; four brothers, Ralph Bullock, Glenn Bullock, Ora “Shorty” Bullock and Robert Bullock; one grandson; and two great-grandsons, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wilsey Christian Church in Wilsey. Burial will be in Wilsey Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Council Grove Chapel in Council Grove.
