Cheryl Jayne Pottorff Elias

Cheryl Jayne Pottorff Elias of Emporia, formerly of Wellsville, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was 55.
Mrs. Elias worked for Interstate Brand Bakeries for more than 30 years.
The daughter of Gilbert and Peggy Yokley Pottorff, she was born June 25, 1951, at Kansas City, Mo. She moved to Wellsville with her family in 1958 when she was in the first grade and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1969. She attended Emporia State University for three years.
She married Jim Perkins in 1971. They were divorced. She married Tony Elias in April 1981. They were divorced.
Mrs. Elias is survived by two sons, Jacob Elias of Emporia and Joshua Elias of Council Grove, a stepson, Tony Elias Jr., of Tulsa, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Christina Elias Burkett of Kansas City, Mo.; her parents of Wellsville; three sisters, Karen Thorne of Lebo, Nancy Warren of Edgerton and Kimberly Anglemyer of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Keith Pottorff of Wellsville and Brian Pottorff of Warrenton, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will be in Wellsville Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
