Ida Mae Dyer

Ida Mae Dyer, 1215 Washington St., died Monday, March 5, 2006, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor. She was 94.
Mrs. Dyer was a meat cutter for many years at the Americus Locker and IGA, A&P and IBP, all in Emporia, before she retired 29 years ago.
The daughter of Francis and Emma Supernaugh, she was born Sept. 3, 1912, at Elk City. She married Virgil L. Dyer on Sept. 12, 1934, at Erie. He died Jan. 31, 1980, at Emporia.
Mrs. Dyer was a member of the Americus United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Snovelle of Emporia and Judy Dawes of Independence; two stepdaughters, Betty McComally of Emporia and Virginia Stamm of Wichita; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Barbara Goodell; a stepdaughter, Marjorie Holland; a stepson, Herbert Dyer; and brothers and sisters died earlier.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Mrs. Dyer was cremated.
