Clemuel Ray ‘Buck’ Leach

Clemuel Ray “Buck” Leach died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at his home in Emporia. He was 67.
Mr. Leach was a retired salesman and had received many awards for selling Kirby vacuums. In 1970, he managed the Kirby Vacuum Sales business at 11 E. Fifth Ave., and continued to be a Kirby distributor. He also delivered the Wichita Eagle newspaper.
The son of Otis and Jewel Inez Watkins Leach, he was born Dec. 31, 1939, in San Saba County, Texas. He married Mary Beth Johnson on June 20, 1966, at Plainview, Texas. She died Feb. 13, 1993.
Mr. Leach was a host for many international students from Emporia State University.
He is survived by five daughters, Barbara M. LaNier of Emporia, Brenda S. Stueve of Olpe, Jerrie A. Schreiner of Madison, Belinda K. Aguirre of Topeka and M. Quin Tolleson of Newark, N.Y.; three sons, Jerry D. Tempelmeyer of Olpe, Samuel E. Leach of Lawrence and Forrest R. Leach of Mechanicsville, Va.; one brother, Richard Leach of Odessa, Texas; four sisters, Lilly Moreland of Fort Worth, Texas, Loyce Driver and Joyce Drake, both of Odessa, and Elsie Mae Bradford of Colorado City, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Clarence Otis Leach and Jack Junior Leach; and three sisters, Faye Adams, Betty Jean Shumate and Arnetta Ann Tucker, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mic McGuire will conduct the service. The burial service will be private.
