Donald Bardell Senft, Osage City

Donald Bardell Senft died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at his home in Osage City. He was 74.
Mr. Senft, a diesel mechanic for 52 years, worked for PBX in Emporia and previously, for Ryder Truck Rental in Tallahassee, Ga., and Gainesville, Fla. He retired nine years ago.
The son of William J. and Emma E. Bardell Senft, he was born April 11, 1932, at Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Arlou Brown on Nov. 6, 1954, at Delaware, Ohio. She survives.
Mr. Senft was a member of the Light of the World Church in Topeka.
He is also survived by four sons, Scott Senft of Emporia and Tim Senft and Paul Senft, both of Osage City, and Kurt Senft of Florida; two daughters, Diane Wiebe of Americus and Jo Esposito of Osage City; one sister, Meta Jones of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A brother, Bill Senft, died earlier.
The graveside service was today in Fruitland Cemetery at Americus. The Rev. Alex Howard of Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, Okla., conducted the service.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hand in Hand Hospice and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
