Barbara Diane Pence, Waverly

Barbara Diane Pence died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at her home in Waverly. She was 59.
Mrs. Pence worked at the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant for 18 years before she retired in 2004 because of illness.
The daughter of Fredrich and Louise McPeak Scheele, she was born June 9, 1947, at Lincoln, Neb. She married George L. Pence on Nov. 25, 1965, at Beaver Creek, Neb. They lived in Lincoln, Neb., for 10 years and moved to Denver, Colo. in 1975. They were divorced and she moved with her four daughters to Waverly in 1983.
Mrs. Pence was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly.
She is survived by four daughters, Debra Dorcas, Dawn Bulmer, Darcie Shedd and Dana Kistner, all of Waverly; five sisters, Regina Sparks of Emporia, Louellen Valentine of Waverly, LaDonna Kirkpatrick of Melvern, Myra Cooper of Dunkin, Okla., and Lisa Collison of Halstead, Neb.; two brothers, Mardell Scheele of LaCygne and Bernell Scheele of Yutica, Neb.; and 10 grandchildren. Her parents died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Waverly gymnasium. Burial will be in Melvern Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
