Virginia A. Henning-Roberts

AMERICUS
Virginia A. Henning-Roberts of Americus died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Medical Center in Topeka. She was 75.
Services are pending at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

The funeral for Virginia A. Henning-Roberts of Americus will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bud Tuxhorn of the Americus United Methodist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be at Americus Cemetery in Americus. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions to the Emporia Friends of the Zoo or the Eagle Creek Saddle Club may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mrs. Henning-Roberts died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was 75.
She was lead lady on Line 1 at Dolly Madison Bakery for 28 years before she retired on July 21, 1993.
The daughter of Lewis Tipton and Dollie Estelle Herbert Roe, she was born March 31, 1932, in Hays. She married John M. Henning Jr., on Feb. 5, 1950, in Emporia. He died April 4, 1982, at Topeka. She married Clair K. Roberts on June 1, 1983, in Americus. He died Jan. 22, 1997, in Emporia.
Mrs. Henning-Roberts was a member of the Americus United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Professional Bull Riding Association and American Quarter Horse Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Lori Schultz and Lisa Priesner, both of Emporia, and Letitia Cross of Apache Junction, Ariz.; three sons, Josh Henning of Americus, John Henning of Lawrence and Zack Henning of Dublin, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Three daughters died earlier. Lou Anne Henning died July 28, 1996. Leigh Henning died Dec. 3, 2005. Lynn Henning died Dec. 25, 2005. Two grandchildren, Ayla Schultz and Brice Schultz, also died earlier.
