Faye Ellen Admire, Council Grove
Faye Ellen Admire, formerly of Council Grove died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor. She was 86.
Mrs. Admire was a homemaker and also helped her husband, Milford, at their photography studio.
The daughter of Emerson and Mary Hafenstine Donley, she was born Oct. 16, 1920, in rural Ellsworth County. She married Milford A. “Tuffy” Admire on Feb. 14, 1941, in Ellsworth. He died earlier.
Mrs. Admire was a member of the Council Grove Congregational Church. She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Council Grove Country Club.
She is survived by one son, Brad Admire of Emporia; and six grandchildren, Jason Admire, Tara Smith and Jocelyn Conklin, all of Emporia, Janet Schneider of Olpe, Alana Wilmore of Americus and former Emporian Lionel Auchard of Australia; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Mabel Warta, Alice Elmore and May Williamson, died earlier, as did two brothers, Bob Donley and Elmer Donley.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Council Grove Chapel. Burial will be in Sunnyslope Cemetery at Council Grove. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
