Marjorie C. Wixson Chenoweth Gardner, Osage City

OSAGE CITY
Marjorie Charleen Chenoweth Gardner died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at her home in Osage City. She was 78.
The daughter of Charles Edwin and Florence Blanche Morley Wixson, she was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Lincoln, Neb. She married Charles Richard Chenoweth on July 31, 1947, in Denver, Colo. He died Dec. 18, 1977. She married Gilbert Dean Gardner on Oct. 2, 1978, at Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage City. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Good Samaritan Club.
She is also survived by three daughters, Joyce Pitman of Osage City, Judy Martin of Topeka and Sandy Chenoweth Wilson of Billings, Mont.; one son, Randy Chenoweth of Quenemo; three stepdaughters, Sue Nordyke of Silver Lake, Linda Colstrom of Lawrence and Cheryl Stiffler of Quenemo; two sisters, Jacueline Mestepey and Dolores Little, both of Wheatridge, Colo.; one brother, Gaylord Wixson of California; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Osage City. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. todayy at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City.
