Arnold F. Brenzikofer

Arnold F. Brenzikofer died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor where he was a resident. He was 96.
Mr. Brenzikofer was a co-op manager.
The son of Frank and Ida R. Stackley Brenzikofer, he was born March 30, 1911, in Burns. He married Bessie Thompson on Jan. 6, 1940, in El Dorado. She died in 1974. He married Thelma Rankin on Sept. 6, 1975, in Kansas City. She died in 1994.
Mr. Brenzikofer is survived by one stepdaughter, Gail Rollo of Harlingen, Texas; a stepson, Jim Rigdon of Pensacola, Fla; two brothers, Harold Brenzikofer of Emporia and Leroy Brenzikofer of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Martha Shinn of El Dorado, Idabelle Boyd of Hutchinson and Edna Bayes of Valley Center; 13 stepgrandchildren; and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel in the manor. The Rev. Jayne Duncan will conduct the service. Mr. Brenzikofer was cremated. Inurnment will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery at El Dorado.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hand in Hand Hospice and sent in care of Charter Funerals - Emporia Chapel, 501 W. Sixth Ave, Emporia, KS 66801.
