LAMONT
The funeral for Chris L. Thomsen of Lamont was held today at the United Methodist Church in Madison. Burial was in Lena Valley Cemetery, north of Lamont.

Mr. Thomsen died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his home in Lamont. He was 52 .
He was an auto mechanic and a postal carrier for many years.
The son of Lee Roy and Roudine Ames Thomsen, he was born Dec. 10, 1954, at Emporia. He grew up in Lamont and graduated from Madison High School in 1972.
He married Connie Bayne on Jan. 11, 1974, at Emporia. They were divorced. He married Vicki Hoelting on March 7, 2007, at Madison. She survives.
Mr. Thomsen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Madison. He also was a member of the U.S. Postal Union.
He is also survived by two sons, Scott Thomsen and Jeremy Thomsen, both of Lamont; three stepsons, Mark Hoelting of Allen, Eric Hoelting of Olpe and Brent Hoelting of Chanute; one stepdaughter, Lisa Mautz of Hartford; his parents of Lamont; two brothers, Gary Thomsen and Darrell Thomsen, both of Lamont; one sister, Lisa Brinkman of Olpe; three grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
