Aletha Fay Wheeler, Fredonia

FREDONIA
Emporia native Aletha Fay Wheeler of Fredonia died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia. She was 66.
Mrs. Wheeler was the owner and operator of Emporia Archery Lanes on Commercial Street before she retired 25 years ago.
The daughter of Leonard “Bill” and Doris Holmes Peak, she was born Jan. 26, 1941, at Emporia.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by one son, Brian Wheeler of Fall River; two sisters, Charlotte Thornton of Olathe and Donna Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren. One brother, Delbert Peak, died earlier.
The graveside service was today at Americus Cemetery in Americus. The Rev. Jeremiah Lange of the Marion Presbyterian Church conducted the service.
