Michael Jon Kerwick
Michael Jon Kerwick, 2001 Schaeffer Way, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Newman Regional Health. He was 71.
Mr. Kerwick was a foreman at Kansa Corporation for 22 years before he retired 6 1/2 years ago. Previously, he was a lineman and, later, a supervisor for the Lyon County Electric Co-Op. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960.
The son of Leonard and Delores Beeman Kerwick, he was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Emporia, where he grew up and attended school. He married Renate Diele on Nov. 28. 1959, at Heilbronn, Germany.
Mr. Kerwick is survived by his wife; two daughters, Debbie Arndt of Emporia and Susan Holloway of Olathe; one brother, Rodger L. Kerwick of Bremerton, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date. Mr. Kerwick was cremated.
