Elizabeth Betsy Danford, Burlington

Elizabeth “Betsy” Danford died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at her home in Burlington. She was 63.
Mrs. Danford and her husband, Frank Danford, lived in Burlington the past 46 years. Before her marriage, she lived in California.
The daughter of Mervin and Hilda Beatty Beitz, she was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Staten Island, N.Y. She married Frank Danford on Sept. 2, 1961, in Miami, Okla. He survives.
Mrs. Danford was a member of the First Christian Church in Burlington. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3577 Auxiliary in Burlington.
She is also survived by one daughter, Terri Anderson of Burlington; one son, Alan Danford of Park City; one brother, Steve Ritter of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Arlene of Reno, Nev., and Robin of Florida; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
A son, Robert Danford, died at the age of 2 in 1967. Her parents also died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
