Alice ‘Nadine’ Stevenson Stuttle Shepherd, Clinton, MO.

Olpe native Alice “Nadine” “Aunt Dean” Stuttle Shepherd died Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton, Mo., where she was a resident. She was 90.
Mrs. Shepherd was a telephone operator in Olpe for 30 years.
The daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Cora Belle Oram Stevenson, she was born Feb. 22, 1917, at Olpe. She married Chester A. Stuttle in 1938 at Topeka. He died in 1980. She married Dee Shepherd in 1993. He died in 2000.
Mrs. Shepherd was a member of the Olpe Methodist Church. She also was a member of Miriam Chapter 14 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Jody Neece of Osceola, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Karen Dee Scheel of Belton, Mo.; one stepson, Arthur E. Shepherd of Denton, Texas; one grandchild and many stepgrandchildren. Five brothers and one sister died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Charter Funerals - Emporia Chapel. The Rev. G. Lucille Barb will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
