Rose Getsinger Noble, Osage City

Rose Kathryn Noble, a longtime resident of Osage City, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Peterson Nursing Home in Osage City. She was 93.
Mrs. Noble worked 11 years as a clerk for the Kansas Department of Revenue before she retired. Previously, she was a clerk at Gamba Brothers Grocery for several years and also worked at the local newspaper office. After retirement, she was a visitation attendant at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel.
The daughter of Michael and Esther Pierson Getsinger, she was born Dec. 13, 1913, at Osage City. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1931.
She married Charles Berton Noble on Jan. 19, 1932. He died Aug. 27, 1987.
Mrs. Noble was a member of the Knights of the Pythias Sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Priscilla R. Hamman and Cathryn A. Houghton, both of Osage City; three sons, Michael T. Noble, Daniel J. Noble and Noble B. Noble, all of Osage City; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, Charles “Pete” Noble; a brother, Joe Getsinger; a sister, Lennie Romine; a grandson, Charles Berton Noble III; and a great-grandson, Ethan Bailey, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Osage City. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
