Clarence Edward Mahoney Jr.
Clarence Edward “Sonny” Mahoney Jr., died Sunday, July 1, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He was 51.
Mr. Mahoney was a construction worker. He also was a member of the Harley Owners Group, H.O.G.
He was raised by his grandmother, Edna Mahoney. He married Ellana J. Clinton on April 9, 1994, at Emporia. She survives.
Mr. Mahoney is survived by one daughter, Kristal Rodriguez of Emporia; and a sister, Edna Fehnr of Wichita.
Two half brothers, Pat Gilligan and Mike Gilligan, and his grandmother died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Claudia Bakely will conduct the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, south of Emporia. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charter Funerals-Emporia Chapel.
