Joe E. Conley, Americus
The service to celebrate the life of Joe E. Conley of Americus will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Flint Hills Community Church at Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier of the Messiah Lutheran Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery on the Chase-Lyon County line. The family requests that everyone “dress casually” for the service. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Flint Hills Community Church, Cottonwood Falls.

Mr. Conley died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He was 65.
He was a maintenance engineer at Newman Regional Health for 25 years and was semi-retired.
The son of Doyle E. and Twila King Conley, he was born Jan. 7, 1942, at Wichita. He was a longtime resident of rural Chase County. He grew up in the Saffordville area and graduated from Saffordville High School in 1959.
He married Delores “Toots” Kewley. They were divorced. He married Jean Crane Dreasher on June 1, 1988, at Emporia. She survives.
Mr. Conley is also survived by two sons, Bruce Conley and Brad Conley, both of rural Emporia; a stepson, Brian Dreasher of Emporia; a stepdaughter, Kayla Delgado of Americus; his parents of Emporia; a sister, Jolene Rhodes of Americus; and 13 grandchildren. A son, Bryan Doyle Conley, died July 14, 1994.
