Henrietta Hazel Goll

Henrietta Hazel Goll, 89, of 1006 Chestnut St., died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, in Newman Regional Health.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Charter Funerals-Emporia Chapel. Burial will be in Reading Cemetery at Reading. The family will meet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans or Family Life Services may be sent in care of the funeral home, 501 W. Sixth Ave., Emporia.
Henrietta Hazel Newman, the daughter of James W. and Lydia A. Price Newman, was born March 30, 1917, in Reading.
She married Glen R. Goll on Sept. 7, 1935, in Emporia. He died earlier.
Others who preceded her in death were one brother, James “Buzz” Newman, and four sisters, Ester Newman, Virginia O’Donnell, Ethel Beetle and June Sells.
She is survived by one daughter, Deon Hall, and two sons, Jack and Gerry Goll, all of Emporia; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Goll had been a school secretary. She was a member of Better Homes and Gardens of Reading, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion auxiliaries and a local group that played cards. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
