Marjory Helen Reed

Marjory Helen Reed, 8 Cherokee Lane, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the Flint Hills Care Center. She was 75.
Mrs. Reed , who was a homemaker, moved to Emporia in 1992.
The daughter of Louie and Mathilda Suhr Marten, she was born Feb. 12, 1931, at Des Moines, Iowa. She married Robert Lee Peterson on Dec. 31, 1950, at Harlan, Iowa. They were divorced. She married Robert Reed at Sioux City, Iowa. They later divorced.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, Tres L. Peterson and Ty L. Peterson; two daughters, Tresa R. Peterson-Johnson and Tami K. Webb, all of Emporia; two brothers, Ralph Marten of Dennison, Iowa, and Louis Marten of Colony, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Richie Peterson, and two brothers, Willis Marten and Marvin Marten, died earlier.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Faith Lutheran Church. Mrs. Reed was cremated. The Rev. Mark Eichler of the church will conduct the service. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
