Teena Patterson, Council Grove

Teena Patterson of Council Grove died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the Morris County Hospital. She was 51.
Mrs. Patterson was a hairdresser at Shirley’s Beauty Shop for 25 years. She also worked for Macy Auctions and was a past member of the Morris County Fair Board.
She was born Aug. 25, 1955 in Council Grove, the daughter of Ralph and N. Evelyn Miller Scott. She graduated from Council Grove High School and from Crumm’s Beauty School of Manhattan.
She married Steven Patterson on March 1, 1975 at White Memorial Camp. He survives.
Other survivors include her father of Council Grove; two daughters, Brittany Patterson of Emporia and Samantha Patterson of Emporia; and two brothers, Rex Scott of Scranton and Lyn Scott of Berkeley, Calif.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Otetiani Study Club, the Kelso United Methodist Church and the Council Grove United Methodist Church. She had been a community leader for the Busy Workers 4-H Club.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Council Grove United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Council Grove Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Morris County 4-H Foundation or to the Council Grove United Methodist Church.
