Brenna Marie Lacer, Cottonwood Falls
A celebration of life service for Brenna Marie Lacer, 43, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Chapel at Cottonwood Falls. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Monday.
Memorial contributions to the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and SOS of Emporia may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls 66845.
Ms. Lacer died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville.
The daughter of Wayne L. and Loretta Kay McFarland Lacer, she was born Nov. 17, 1963, at Emporia. She received an associate degree from Cowley County Community College and had operated a nail salon in Arkansas City. She had lived in North Carolina, where she operated an Avon business for 15 years, had been a top salesman for a car dealership there, and had worked part-time for Jackson-Hewitt tax preparation company. In Emporia, she had worked at Phoebe’s Cafe and Cakes and at On-Line Communications.
Her father preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother, Loretta Kay McFarland of Emporia; a brother, Matthew L. Freeman of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Tina Marie Lacer and Phoebe Fay Freeman Hensley of Emporia; and her adoptive father, Alvin J. Freeman of Clay Center.
