Evelyn M. Crowell
Evelyn M. Crowell of Emporia died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at the home of a son in Emporia. She was 86.
She was born April 25, 1920 in Loup City, Neb., the daughter of Everett and Emma Bell Sickles. She married Roy E. Crowell on June 19, 1941, in Ravenna, Neb. He died Sept. 2, 1968.
Mrs. Crowell was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She worked at the Meadows Rest Home and later at Montgomery Ward.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Crowell, Jerald Crowell and John Crowell, all of Emporia; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, where the family will meet with friends at 10 a.m.
A memorial in her name has been established with Total Home Health Care & Hospice. Donations may be sent in care of the Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861, which has charge of the arrangements.
