Ella Laverne Platt, Mountain Home, Ark.
Ella Laverne Platt, 82, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in a Mountain Home hospital.
She was the stepmother of Clare Platt Jr. of Hamilton.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Koup Funeral home in Eureka. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery, Hamilton.
Ella Laverne Bray, daughter of Frank and Cora Dudley Bray, was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Gilliam, Ark. She married Clare Platt Sr., on Nov. 11, 1944, in Fairplay, Mo. They lived most of their married life in eastern Kansas and Liberty, Mo. They moved to Mountain Home shortly after Mrs. Platt’s retirement in 1987.
She is survived by three sons, three stepsons whom she reared, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, one son, a stepson, three sisters and three brothers died earlier.
