Clinton Eugene Glesser, Council Grove
Clinton Eugene “Clint” Glessner of Council Grove died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. He was 57.
Mr. Glessner was an over-the-road truck driver for several years. For the past several years, he had also owned and operated Clint’s Bait and Tackle. He did automobile racing, drag racing and some circle track racing.
The son of Melvin Earl “Mel” and Gertrude Marie “Trudy” Hunter Glessner, he was born March 14, 1949, in Council Grove. He married Marcia Ann Barton on Dec. 24, 1994, in Council Grove. She survives.
Mr. Glessner was a member of the Wilsey United Methodist Church. He was a former member and past Master of the Council Grove Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Ginni Glessner of Hiawatha and Vicki Milan of El Dorado, Ark.; one son, Clayton “Clay” Glessner of Alta Vista; one stepdaughter, Cassandra Kinish of Council Grove; his father of Council Grove; one sister, Jacine Copley of Shreve, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Council Grove Chapel. The Rev. Duane Andres will conduct the service. The private family inurnment service will be held later at the Welcome Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
