Gloria Belle Northup, Salina
Former Emporia resident Gloria Belle Northup of Salina died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, in the Salina Regional Health Center. She was 75.
The daughter of John and Viola Goodall, she was born Aug. 28, 1931, at Salina. She graduated from Salina High School and St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Kansas City. She married Wayne Northup on June 29, 1960, at Salina. He survives.
Mrs. Northup, a registered nurse, worked at St. John’s Hospital in Salina, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Concordia and the Saline County Health Department.
She also is survived by one son, Charles Northup of Salina; two daughters, Susan Greene of Abilene and Gloria Lynn Myers of Topeka; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church at Salina, where Mrs. Northup was a member. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery at Salina. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. and the family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary in Salina.
