Waneta B. Sage, Virgil

The funeral for Waneta B. Sage of Virgil will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home at Madison. The Rev. Mark Demas will conduct the service. Burial will be in Virgil Cemetery at Virgil.
Mrs. Sage died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the Medicalodge of Eureka in Eureka. She was 91.
The daughter of Charles and Lulu Miller McGhee, she was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Lamont. She grew up in the Lamont-Hilltop communities and attended school at District 115 in Hilltop and Lamont High School. The remainder of her life was spent in the Virgil community.
She married Glen Sage on July 11, 1932, at Eureka. He died Nov. 7, 1978.
Mrs. Sage attended the Wesleyan Church in Lamont.
She is survived by three sons, Jay Sage and George Sage, both of Virgil, and C.O. Sage of Gainesville, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two sons, James Sage and Gary Sage, died earlier, as did four brothers, Jim McGhee, Carlton McGhee, George McGhee and Glen McGhee; and two sisters, Opal McGhee and Alberta Saunders.
