Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Graybeal

The funeral service for Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Graybeal, 74, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St. Leonard Wagner, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery south of Emporia.
Mrs. Graybeal died Dec. 29, 2006, in her home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening (Tuesday, Jan. 2) in the funeral home. Memorial donations to Hand-in-Hand Hospice may be sent to the funeral home, PO Box 175, Emporia, KS., 66801.
Elizabeth Ann Jones, daughter of Evan and Florence Houck Jones, was born March 8, 1932, in Bushong. She married Daryl L. Graybeal on Sept. 24, 1948, in Yates Center. He died April 11, 1999, in Topeka.
Mrs. Graybeal had worked for eight years in the 1950s for J.C. Penney’s and had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Golden Girls club.
She is survived by two sons, Terry L. Graybeal of Emporia and Randy L. Graybeal of Madison; one brother, Bill Jones of Arcada, Calif.; and two grandchildren, J.R. and Travis Graybeal, both of Madison.
A brother, Eddie Sloan, died earlier.
