Glenn Arlen Andersen

The private family inurnment service for Glenn Arlen Andersen will be at Hartford Cemetery in Hartford at a later date. Mr. Andersen was cremated.
Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mr. Andersen died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at his home in Emporia. He was 79.
He worked for the Emporia Water Department and Police Department during the 1950s, then was a locomotive fireman and police officer for the Santa Fe Railway. He later worked in industrial refrigeration and maintenance and repairs. He served in the U.S. Navy.
The son of Rasmus M. and Alta Rifenbark Andersen, he was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Emporia. He attended Emporia schools and graduated from Emporia High School.
He married Ruth Baughman in May 1950. She died Feb. 5, 1954. He married Donna L. Baughman and they were later divorced. She survives.
Mr. Andersen is also survived by one son, Tad Andersen of Americus; two daughters, Terri Smith of Emporia and Arlene Scales of Medford, Ore.; two sisters, Audrey Weller of Emporia and Mary Brust of Wichita; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A brother, Stanley L. Andersen, died earlier.
