Dorothy Marie Goodell
Dorothy Marie Goodell died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at the Holiday Resort. She was 74.
The daughter of Toney and Blanche Nix Conrade, she was born March 20, 1932, at Emporia. She grew up in Olpe and later moved to Americus, where she graduated from Americus High School in 1950.
She married Homer Goodell on Aug. 27, 1950. They were divorced. He died Oct. 10, 2006.
Mrs. Goodell was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lebo.
She is survived by four sons, Alan Goodell of Lebo, John Goodell of Council Grove, Bradley Goodell of Lamont and Robert Goodell of Gardner; two daughters, Sharon Lightwine of Topeka and Cheryl Thorne of Pflugerville, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lebo United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery at Lebo. The family will meet friends one hour before service time.
