Lydia “Betty” Eccleston, Bartlesville, Okla.

Emporia native Lydia “Betty” Eccleston of Bartlesville, Okla., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at the Silver Lake Care Center. She was 88.
The daughter of Harold P. and Fannie Shoop Davis, she was born Feb. 21, 1918, at Emporia. She married Barton Michael Ryan Eccleston on Dec. 7, 1940, at Emporia. He died earlier. A sister, Dorothy Eubank of Emporia, also died earlier.
Mrs. Eccleston was a volunteer worker with the Girl Scouts, church organizations, Concern Day Care and Birthright of Bartlesville.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Moyer of Tyro and Penny Eccleston of Bartlesville, Okla.; four sons, Dennis Eccleston of Rogers, Ark., Nick Eccleston of Greenwood, Ark., Jim Eccleston of Bartlesville, and Rick Eccleston of Tulsa, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated today at St. John Catholic Church in Bartlesville. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Walker-Brown Funeral Home in Bartlesville has the arrangements.
