Norma D. Gilbert, Neosho Rapids
The funeral for Norma D. Gilbert of Neosho Rapids will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Chester Morris of the Church of the New Covenant will conduct the service. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Neosho Rapids.

Mrs. Gilbert died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Newman Regional Health. She was 80.
Mrs. Gilbert was a homemaker.
The daughter of Fred S. and Kathleen M. Hall Brown, she was born May 19, 1926, at Neosho Rapids. She graduated from Neosho Rapids High School in 1945.
She married Loris V. Gilbert on Aug. 2, 1945, at Perryton, Texas. He survives.
Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the United Methodist Church at Neosho Rapids. She attended the Neosho Rapids Senior Citizens and participated in their activities.
She is also survived by one son, Loris V. Gilbert Jr., of Neosho Rapids; one daughter, Janice Stinson of Emporia; one sister, Vina May Walkup of Emporia; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Fred Brown and Harry Brown; and two sisters, Margaret Hunt and Kathleen Widup died earlier.
