Robert Alan Archer, Strong City

1961 - 2007

Robert “Robbie” Alan Archer died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. He was 46.
Mr. Archer owned and operated the Chase County Body Shop and wrecking service in Strong City and was a contracted AAA provider.
The son of Robert Andrew and Patricia Brown Archer, he was born Feb. 25, 1961, at Strong City. He married Verna Rohloff on Dec. 11, 1982, at Wilsey. She survives.
Mr. Archer was a member of the National Cushman Club of America.
He is also survived by one daughter, Samantha Archer of the home; one son, Wesley Archer of Manhattan; his mother, Patricia Cripps of Cottonwood Falls; one sister, Anita Cain of Cottonwood Falls; and two brothers, Mark Archer and Tony Archer, both of Wichita. His father died Aug. 8, 1990.
The service to celebrate his life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. David Gass of the Cedar Point Community Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood Falls. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Flint Hills Community Church. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Friends may call at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time.
Memorial contributions to the Education Fund for Mr. Archer’s children may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
