Katherine C. Dorr, Osage City

1934 - 2007

Katherine C. “Pat” Dorr of Osage City died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at her home. She was 73.
The daughter of Ernie and Lorene Thompson Whalen, she was born March 5, 1934, in Michigan Valley, Kan. She married Tom Dorr on Oct. 8, 1955. He survives.
Mrs. Dorr worked at Forbes Air Base in Topeka until she became a stay-at-home mother. During that time, she managed the Osage City Swimming Pool for numerous summers. She worked for Hallmark Cards in Osage City for 23 years, retiring in 1995.
She was an active member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Osage City and also participated in community activities such as delivering Meals on Wheels, volunteering at ECAT and taking part in Hallmark Retirees.
Mrs. Dorr’s survivors also include four children, Mike Dorr of Burlingame; Debbie Dorr of Belton, Texas; Janelle Ohmstede of Sugar Land, Texas; and Mark Dorr of Auburn; and a brother, Dennis Whalen of Spokane, Wash. Five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and five step-great-grandchildren also survive.
The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where the funeral is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
