Glen F. Linneman, Emporia

Glen F. Linneman of Emporia, formerly of Holton and Onaga, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at an Emporia nursing home. He was 84.
He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Granada, the son of Andrew and Mildred Spiker Linneman.
Mr. Linneman lived in Holton from 1950 to 1968 and in Onaga from 1968 until 1993, when he moved to Emporia. He was a salesman for Vic Symons in Holton and later Wayne Symons in Onaga. He later worked for Raney Exterminators in Marysville. He served in World War II in the 361st Engineers. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7772 in Onaga and previously Post 1367 in Holton. He was a charter member at the post in Sabetha.
He married Fayola Kroemer on April 15, 1947, in Seneca. She survives. Other survivors include a son; Steven D. Linneman of Emporia; and grandsons, Tait and Reid Linneman, both of Emporia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Linneman, and three brothers, Jerry Linneman, Eldo Linneman and Lowell Linneman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Netawaka Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
