Lucas Jeh Hotzel, Emporia

Luke Hotzel of rural died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in a motor vehicle accident in the 1800 block of East Sixth Avenue.
Services are pending at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Lucas “Luke” Jeb Hotzel of rural Emporia died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in a one-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of E. Sixth Avenue. He was 19.
Mr. Hotzel was a student at the Flint Hills Technical College.
The son of J. Eric and Robin Fowler Hotzel, he was born June 15, 1988, at Emporia.
Mr. Hotzel was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents of Emporia, his sister, Caitlin Hotzel of the home, and his grandmothers, Iona Fowler and Eunice Hotzel, both of Emporia. His grandfathers, Robert Fowler and Jim Hotzel, died earlier.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Darren Henson of the church and the Rev. Pete O’Sullivan of Christ the King Catholic Church in Topeka will conduct the service.
Mr. Hotzel will be cremated. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, to a fund to be designated later, may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
