Kenneth F. Snyder, Wichita
Former Hamilton resident Kenneth F. Snyder, 89, of Wichita died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007. He was a retired Boeing mod mechanic.
The rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West in Wichita. The mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Mr. Snyder was born on Easter Sunday in 1918 in Sidney, Ohio, to Dorothy and Marion J. Snyder. He was the youngest of their six children. In 1926, the family moved to the Hamilton area to work in the oilfields.
Mr. Snyder served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He met Kathryn M. Rea, RN, of Capron, Okla., in Wichita in 1946. They were married for 61 years. She survives.
He retired from Boeing in 1980 after 32 years and started a lawn-seeding business, which he continued until he was 84.
He and his wife were charter members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Other survivors include three sons, Kenny Snyder, Keith Snyder and Jack Snyder, all of Wichita; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a twin, Keith Snyder, and Marion Snyder, and three sisters, Kathryn Carlson, Nita Timish and Naomi Snyder.
