Betty Ann Lewis
Betty Ann Lewis of Emporia died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at the Holiday Resort where she was a resident. She was 65.
Mrs. Lewis was a bookkeeper for Big A Auto Parts System before she retired.
The daughter of Lloyd C. and Minnie B. Hill Houska, she was born Aug. 28, 1941, in Ellsworth. She married William E. “Bill” Lewis on May 7, 1994, in Emporia. He survives.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the church women’s group. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend.
She is also survived by two sons, Kenton D. Lewis of Topeka and Myles L. Lewis of Wichita, and one grandchild. Her parents and an infant sister, Mary Alice Houska, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Charter Funerals Great Bend Chapel. Burial will be in Claflin City Cemetery.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2701 24th, Great Bend, KS 67530.
