Thomas Lee Fitzpatrick, Kansas City, MO

KANSAS CITY, MO.
Former Emporian Thomas Lee Fitzpatrick died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice House. He was 69.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was a lineman and foreman for Kansas Power and Light and later, Westar Energy, for 37 years.
The son of Michael J. and Irene Sterbenz Fitzpatrick, he was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Olpe. He graduated from Emporia High School in 1956.
He married Janet Dant in 1961. She survives and lives in Emporia.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is also survived by two daughters, Pam Harris of Mission and Teresa Fitzpatrick of Washington, D.C.; his mother of Topeka; seven siblings: Kathleen Wilkerson of Emporia; Ed Fitzpatrick, Mary Ann Bechtold, John Fitzpatrick and Ellen Koester, all of Topeka; Sister Angela Marie of Mission; Marjorie Levell of Overland Park; and two grandchildren.
His father; and a brother, Michael Fitzpatrick, died earlier.
Mr. Fitzpatrick’s body was donated to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. The family will have a private memorial service.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64145 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Mount Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home in Kansas City, Mo., has the arrangements.
