Marjorie "Kay" Ayres Pendleton, Hartford

1940 - 2007

HARTFORD
Marjorie “Kay” Pendleton of Hartford died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at Newman Regional Health. She was 66.
Mrs. Pendleton was a certified nurses aide.
The daughter of Frank and Blanche Swearengin Ayres, she was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Paola. She married David Pendleton on Aug. 25, 1972, in Tahoe, Nevada. He died in 2003.
Mrs. Pendleton is survived by three sons, Raymond Smith and Robert Smith both of Hartford and Perry Rowe of Burlington; one daughter, Debra Bess of Hartford; one stepdaughter, Katrina Huntington of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Donald Ayres of Burlington; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Jennifer Smith and Victoria Smith and one sister, Delores Hauglin, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Charter Funerals - Emporia Chapel. The Rev. Steve McVey of the Lamont-Wesleyan Church will conduct the service. The family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
