Minnie Soendker

1915 - 2007

OSAGE CITY
Minnie C. Soendker died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was 92.
Mrs. Soendker worked at Bradshaw’s Country Club and Steels Café. She also worked at the Osage Manor as a nurses aide and in the laundry department.
The daughter of Rudolph and Katherine Widman Weller, she was born March 10, 1915, at Portland, Ore. She lived near Melvern for several years before she moved to Osage City in 1967.
She married John Soendker on June 2, 1936, at Topeka. He died Dec. 16, 1967.
Mrs. Soendker is survived by a daughter, Beverly Welsch of Osage City; four sons, Clarence Soendker of Emporia, Charles Soendker of Osage City, Richard Soendker of Burlingame and Donald Soendker of Topeka; one brother, Ralph Weller of Montrose, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
