The memorial service for Lilliebell Cochran will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Eichler will conduct the service. Mrs. Cochran was cremated. Burial will be in Bushong Cemetery at Bushong.

Mrs. Cochran died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at her home, 1531 Wheeler St. She was 85.
She was a home care companion before she retired.
The daughter of Robert and Hannah Etta Pierce Smith, she was born March 29, 1922, the third baby born at Newman Hospital in Emporia. She married Marion Joseph Cochran on May 24, 1957 in Emporia. He died June 19, 1985.
Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Bushong United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three daughters, Loetta Fowler of Emporia and Donna Brown and Clinda Dorrell, both of Wichita; two sisters, Emma Voorhees of Emporia and Willimina Birdwell of Temple, Texas; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Sarah “Anna” Shuck, Mable Shelton, Lennie Fenton, Josie Allmon and Dorothy Martz; four brothers, Wilbur Smith, Robert Smith, Levaughn Smith, Thomas Jefferson Smith; and one grandson, Casey Fowler.
