Dorothy Eberhart

Dorothy Eberhart of Emporia died Monday, April 23, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Topeka. She was 74.
Mrs. Eberhart retired from Didde Graphics in Emporia. Earlier, she worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where she lived. She moved from Washington, D.C., to Benson, Ariz., and to Emporia in 1975.
The daughter of August and Hattie Freitag Thill, she was born Aug. 30, 1932, at Olpe. She married Jerry Eberhart. He died earlier.
Mrs. Eberhart was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Deanne Stewart of Topeka; one son, Wayne Eberhart of Topeka; four sisters, Leona Dieker and Betty Payne, both of Emporia, Bertha Applehauz of Lyndon and Sister Helen Mary Thill of Topeka; two brothers, Ralph Thill of Emporia and James Thill of Pleasantville, Iowa; and three grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother died earlier.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Darren Henson will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will meet friends after the prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
