Winnie R. Kopfman

Winnie R. Kopfman, a resident of the Holiday Resort, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Emporia Rehabilitation Center. She was 94.
Mrs. Kopfman, a homemaker, also was the school cook for the Madison school.
The daughter of James B. and Alice L. Horn Matlock, she was born March 15, 1913, in Florence, Okla. She married Carl F. Kopfman on Feb. 13, 1933. He died earlier.
Mrs. Kopfman was a member of the Madison home demonstration unit.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Kopfman of Reading and Jack Kopfman of Lakin; one daughter, Lola Nuessen of Olathe; 11 grandchilddren; 27 great-grandchchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Forrest Matlock and Hubert Matlock; and two sisters, Juanita Booth and Della Slaughter, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Charter Funerals-Emporia Chapel. Chaplain Hal Lewis of Newman Regional Health will conduct the service. Burial will be in Number Eight Cemetery at Madison.
