Frances Ruth Alderson, Rossville

Frances Ruth Alderson, formerly of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the Rossville Valley Manor in Rossville, where she has been a resident since 2000. She was 89.
The daughter of Arthur and Edna Smoot Meyers, she was born April 1, 1918, in LaHarpe, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She married Cloyd Dallas Alderson on March 23, 1940, in Fredonia. They moved to Iola and later, to Emporia. In 1962, they moved to Burlington. Mr. Alderson died Jan. 17, 1979.
Mrs. Alderson was a member of the United Methodist Church in Burlington.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kay Reichardt of Hoyt; one son, C.D. Alderson of Crystal River, Fla.; one brother, Earl Meyers of Garnett; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
