Jeris Louise Wunderlich, Cottonwood Falls
Jeris Louise Wunderlich of Cottonwood Falls died Friday, April 13, 2007, in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 150 in Chase County. She was 26.
Miss Wunderlich was the manager of Casey’s General Store in Cottonwood Falls.
The daughter of Micky L. and Pamela Dodson Wunderlich, she was born Dec. 15, 1980, at Cushing, Okla. She graduated from Chase County High School in 1999.
Miss Wunderlich was baptized by the Rev. John David Ramsey of the Christ Gospel Ministry in March 2002. She was a member of the Chase County Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Micky Lynn and Roma Wunderlich of Howard; her mother and stepfather, Jerry and Pam Collins of Matfield Green; two brothers, Michael Wunderlich of Derby and Gabriel “Gabe” Wunderlich of El Dorado; a stepbrother, Craig Collins of Elmdale; her grandmother, Shirley Wunderlich of Piedmont; her great-grandmother, Goldie Dodson of Winfield; and her fianceé, Tim Yette of Cottonwood Falls. A stepbrother, Darien Miller, died earlier.
The service to celebrate her life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Rick Smith of the First Baptist Church in Cottonwood Falls will conduct the service. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood Falls. The coffin will be closed. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Flint Hills Community Church. Friends also may call from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls.
