William H. Pritchard, Madison
The funeral for William H. Pritchard of Wichita and formerly of Madison will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Madison. The Rev. Bob Robison will conduct the service. Burial will be in Number Eight Cemetery, east of Madison.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Odyssey Hospice and sent in care of the Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
Mr. Pritchard died Monday, April 9, 2007, at his home in Wichita. He was 81.
He was a retired oil field pumper and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
The son of Roy and Nellie Sturgeon Pritchard, he was born Nov. 27, 1925, at Madison. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison High School.
He married Maxine Miller on April 2, 1949, at Emporia. She survives.
Mr. Pritchard is survived by one daughter, Vicky Gore of Wichita; a son, Mike Pritchard of LaHabra, Calif.; one brother, Norman Pritchard of Augusta; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
