Ralph Arthur Davis
Allen native Ralph Arthur Davis, 74, of Salome, Ariz., died Sept. 23, 2006, at Goodyear, Ariz.
Mr. Davis enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the service in 1970.
The son of Wilber S. and Violet E. Wavley Davis, he was born Nov. 7, 1931, at Allen where he grew up. Later, he moved to Hutchinson and graduated from Rantoul High School and Clark Business College.
He married Helen L. Huebner on June 6, 1954, at Hutchinson. She survives.
Mr. Davis was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is also survived by one son, Scott Davis of South Hutchinson; two daughters, Barbara Strunk of Victoria, Minn., and Patricia Hill of Houston, Texas; one brother, Richard Davis of Delta, Colo.; one sister, Betty Prutch of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Candice, died in 1958. A brother, Wilber Davis, died in 1998.
