Betty Allene Schamle
The funeral for Betty Allene Schamle, 401 Whildin St., will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Leonard Wagner of the Church of God of Prophecy will conduct the service. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery at Osage City. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schamle died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was 77.
She had worked at Crawford Manufacturing, B & B Upholstery, and Sam’s Place and the Reading Lounge, both in Reading. She was a carrier for The Emporia Gazette for 20 years.
The daughter of Earl Nathan and Ema Helena Deleva Meyersick Mollett, she was born Dec. 7, 1928, at Osage City. She married Francis A. “Bud” Schamle on June 8, 1957, at Osage City. He died Aug. 23, 1999, at Topeka.
Mrs. Schamle was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2587 and VFW Auxiliary Post 1980.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Farr of Emporia; a half brother, Jimmy Mollett of Missouri; and two grandchildren. A son, Mark Anthony Schamle, died at birth. A half brother, Roger Mollett, died earlier, as did her mother and stepfather, John W. Kuykendall.
