Kay M. Thompson

Kay M. Thompson, 72, of Garden City died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. Survivors in this area include two daughters, Keianna Thompson and Charolette Lowder, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Allen.
Mrs. Thompson, who lived in Garden City since 1952, worked for Southwestern Bell for 26 years, working her way up to chief operator in Garden City and then working seven years in management at Topeka and Salina. After she retired, she worked 14 1/2 years as a restaurant manager for Wheatlands and The Red Baron.
The memorial service was held Sept. 4 at Church of the Brethren in Garden City.
Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital may be sent in care of the Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
